The Miracle of Life!

I was so privileged to photograph little Rafferty, a true miracle of life. He was born at just 26 weeks and spent the first few months fighting every day to stay alive. Amazingly, he has overcome all obstacles that life has thus far thrown at him and at a healthy 10 months old (or 7 months in real time!), he is an absolute treasure!
His first photo shoot was a little overwhelming and I think he was rather confused as to what was going on but he settled in like a champ! Again, another tough customer when it came to getting some smiles out of him but again so rewarding when you did get one!

Rafi was joined by his Mom, Granddad and Gran - a lucky little boy, a born fighter...watch this space world as here comes Rafferty!

Millie...5 months on!

Five months on and little Millie has grown into the cutest little girl! As with her first shoot, Millie seemed to enjoy herself although, being a little more aware of her surroundings (and full of a nasty cold) she proved a tough customer to get some smiles out of! Her older brother Max was as delightful as ever - another great family shoot with hopefully some photos that they can cherish!

Introducing Ana!

Gorgeous little Ana, only 5 weeks old came to have her photos taken last week. Her older brother, Alexi who I photographed when he was Ana's age, took to the photo shoot like a duck to water but was more concerned with the lights than actually posing with his sister!
So, we let Alexi have some fun and with a little persuasion and some patience, we eventually managed to get him to share the limelight with his sister! Ana was an absolute darling throughout the shoot and I am sure is going to grow up to be as cute as her older brother!

Here are some photos from their session.

Baby Daisy!

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting and photographing 8 month old Daisy on the weekend. She was just too gorgeous for words. I was completely drawn to her beautiful blue eyes and dark lashes...every girl's dream! She seemed to be quite intrigued by the photo shoot and took a little coaxing to get some smiles. A little like gambling, once you have won once, it is hard not to keep trying - that is what it was like with Daisy's smiles - once she had smiled at you once you had to try harder to get another smile!
A definite baby advert model, well I think so! Here are some photos from her session.

The Wood Family

It was so good to see this lovely family again. Last time it was to photograph their first daughter Evie and now to photograph their newest addition, Beth. Both girls were superstars and it has to be said that Evie is a very good big sister!
Beth got her time in the limelight and seemed to enjoy herself. She definitely perfected the more serious look but with a little encouragement from Mom and Dad we got some gorgeous smiles!

Another great shoot and some family memories to be cherished.

...And then there were 4!

I always feel so privileged when I get to see a family grow and share in the special moments in their lives. The Weissenborns fit this category perfectly as I have shared in most of their "big" life moments, pregnancy, marriage, and babies! Jack is a welcome addition to the clan and like the rest of the family took to "modelling" like a natural. His older brother Ethan was a super-star throughout the shoot and seemed to delight in taking part (especially at the end when he chose to be naked like his baby brother!). At least I know he felt comfortable with me, or is that just a boy thing!!
Nevertheless, it was a special shoot with a wonderful family. Rob & Emily, thank you for being, well just you!!
Here are some photos from their shoot...
